MAINTAING YOUR *NESPRESSO *ORIGINAL LINE MACHINE
Machine Maintenance:
Water tank
When water sits for long periods of time (12+ hours), its PH changes. This, in turn,
leads to a noticeable change in taste: Water tastes “flat” if you let it sit too long after
its been exposed to oxygen and other surfaces, and this will affect the taste of your
coffee. Fill up your water tank each morning so that you don’t risk any strange taste
making its way into your coffee. It’s also recommended that you clean your water
tank at least once a week.
Descaling:
You will need to buy a descaling liquid
What is Descaling?
All coffee machines, including Nespresso machines, build up hard deposits of
calcium and lime from water. Descaling your machine will remove these deposits,
allowing the coffee to achieve a proper extraction, thereby improving its flavor
and temperature. Since flavor and temperature are two key components to the
overall coffee experience it’s important to keep the machine running like new.
What to look for:
Whenever your machine takes longer than usual to brew or starts making too much
noise when brewing or starts leaking allot of water it’s time for descaling.
Descaling is easy. Follow these bellow instructions or watch this tutorial video.
